Eighty years, two facilities, one family business

Min Beads Pvt. Ltd. was founded in Kolkata in 1946, and moved its beadmaking floor to Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh — India's historic glass-manufacturing town — in 1966. We still cut and colour glass there by hand, alongside the machine precision that joined the floor later.

We still dye to order — matching a shade a customer brings us, and developing original colours that are difficult to find anywhere else in India. Our Machine Delica line now turns out uniform cylinder beads in every size, alongside the hand-finished Cut Dana, Pot, Oval and Bugle ranges that built the business. In 2026, we added a Surat facility to stay close to India's textile and embroidery trade — so we now supply from Firozabad as well as Surat.

How it's made

From furnace to finished strand — eight steps, one production line

Every bead we sell passes through the same sequence set up on our Firozabad floor in 1966, now shared between hand craft and machine precision.

Furnace

Silica and colourants are melted at high heat — the same starting point beadmaking has used on this floor since 1966.

Tube Production

Molten glass is drawn into long, hollow tubes of consistent diameter — the raw stock every bead is cut from.

Cutting

Tubes are cut into short segments, sized to the bead being made — from fine seed lengths to full bugle tubes.

Rounding

Cut segments are tumbled and heat-rounded until sharp edges soften into a smooth, uniform bead.

Layering

Beads pass through coating layers that build opacity, sheen, or a lined interior, depending on the finish ordered.

Dying

Colour is set across the full spectrum of standard shades — and matched to original colours our customers bring us.

A final pass sorts and finishes every batch into one of five signature looks — see below.

Finished batches are sorted, packed and sent from Firozabad and Surat to trade partners nationwide.

Machine Delica

Uniform, precision-cut cylinder beads made on our delica machines in every size — built for fine machine embroidery and bead-loom work that demands exact, repeatable sizing.
